Last Saturday, June 15, we had the privilege of being invited to the Barranquitas radio station, in the center of the island of Puerto Rico, to the program of Puerto Rican singer Aleyda Santos , Rompiendo la rutina .
Our team's microalgae specialist and National Geographic explorer, Jennifer Gil Acevedo , will participate next Saturday in the National Federation of the Blind of Puerto Rico event at the Santa Rosa Mall with an inclusive workshop, and she came specifically to promote the event.
Since 2019, Jenny has been conducting these workshops specifically for the blind, starting in Panama, Spain (for ONCE ), and finally Puerto Rico. The models for these events are co-designed with fellow team member Julián Ortega Durán , a specialist in both virtual and artisanal modeling. In fact, these workshops are predecessors of the current Micropoderosos outreach project.
But we also had the opportunity to talk about Micropoderosos and invite its audience to come to El Bastión , in Old San Juan, to learn about or be a partner in the works, which we are sure can make great contributions.
Ultimately, it was a pleasure to meet Aleyda in person and spend some time together as a family after the program. We are very grateful for the opportunity.
